Man arrested in Virginia Highland prowler case
ATLANTA - Police said the man caught on a resident's home surveillance system has been arrested.
The Atlanta Police Department arrested Larry Burke on Wednesday, about two weeks after investigators said he could be seen on camera knocking on a door. Police said when Burke got no answer he started to push the door, but soon realized there was a camera at the front. He then is seen just stopping and starring. With the clock ticking, he tries harder for a few seconds and then gives up.
It all took place last May 13 on St. Charles Place in Virginia-Highland. In the same general area, another resident's home captures a man go up to the front of the property and snatch a box. Captain Neil Klotzer said that was also Burke.
The captain said Burke has an Atlanta rap sheet that goes back to 2008.
