Man accused of improperly disposing bodies

METTER, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - GBI agents arrested a 70-year-old man after finding human remains at a scrap yard.

Investigators accused Percy Hodges of throwing away or abandoning dead bodies.

The Hodges Funeral Home hired people to tear down a shed behind the funeral home.

They found two metal containers and one casket.

When they went to sell the containers and caskets to a scrap yard, they discovered bones.

Police say one of the funeral home owners admitted to putting the bodies in the shed in the late 80s or early 90s.
