Georgia's First Lady touts immunization programs

Georgia's First Lady made the rounds Monday at a couple of hospitals.

Sandra Deal met with new mothers during her visit to the Atlanta Medical Center.

She also gave out immunization cards and took some time to talk about why immunization programs are important.

"There are a lot of things that we learned over the years to protect us and to protect other people and we need to be considerate not only of making our children healthy but also of helping keep the public healthy," said Sandra Deal, First Lady of Georgia.

First Lady Deal also visited Northside Hospital and toured it's women's center.

The cards she handed-out will help families keep their babies' immunization records organized.
