Fulton County Police SUV and car collide on icy road

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - A Fulton County police officer and a driver are both recovering at the hospital after a crash early Friday on Pleasant Hill Road at Old National Highway.

The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. on a roadway covered with thick sheets of ice. The driver's car sustained significant front end damage and the police officer's SUV had a shattered rear windshield.

FOX 5 News has learned the driver sustained a head injury and the officer suffered a minor injury.
