Former MARTA administrator sentenced
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A former MARTA official will spend more than a year in prison for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the transit agency.
Jhonnita Williams billed MARTA for maintenance work that was never actually performed.
Those false invoices added up to more than $520,000.
Williams was sentenced to 16 months in prison and ordered to pay back the money.
