Chemical concerns closes Lavender Road in Floyd County

 Lavender Road in Floyd County was closed for a couple of hours on Wednesday afternoon due to a hazardous material situation.

According to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Lavander Drive between Redmond Circle and the railroad tracks was closed while the Rome Fire Department investigates.

The road has since reopened.
