Passengers aboard an Atlanta-bound flight are safe after their plane got stuck in a snow bank in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

SkyWest Airlines, which operates the Delta Connection flight, says the plane ran into ice while taxing for departure and got stuck in the snow.

The airline had to remove all of the passengers from the plane and put them on another flight.

The flight arrived at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport early Wednesday morning.

The Fort Wayne Airport says conditions appeared to be good for the plane to takeoff but ice had formed on painted areas on the runway.

The plane was going so slowly it could not make it through the ice.
