Firefighters sing song to baby minutes after horrific crash
BRASELTON, Ga. - A Braselton mom is counting her blessings after nearly losing her life and her two year old daughter's in a car crash two weeks ago.
"I knew it was going to happen and there wasn't anything I could do about it," Summer Ginn said.
Ginn told FOX 5 she lost control of her car, went off the road and hit a tree head on.
"My first thought was if my daughter was ok," Ginn said. "I was so banged up I couldn't even turn around to look at her."
Medics arrived on the scene and got the toddler out. They put Ginn on a stretcher while her daughter, Raelyn, cried uncontrollably.
"The firefighter was asking me what he could do to get her to stop crying," Ginn said.
That's when Ginn said she asked the firefighters to sing the children's song "The Wheels on the Bus go round and round."
"I couldn't remember all the words," Caleb Rambaugh said.
Rambaugh and Brian Gregory sang and consoled the little girl.
"They made one of the most traumatic experiences of my life a little bit better and every bit helps," Ginn said.
