Film veteran hosts workshop for aspiring production assistants
ATLANTA - There are many jobs in the world of film and television. And many of major roles happen behind the scenes.
Alicia Hailey Daniels has worked in the industry for more than 11 years. She says production assistant work is a good way to break into the business. She also says those roles can give people a look into how projects are made. By networking and doing a good job, Daniels stresses someone can turn an entry-level production assistant gig into jobs in the area of set design, costuming and hair/makeup.
Daniels graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a degree in mass communications. Since, she has worked in the production department on shows including "Greenleaf" and "The Have and The Have Nots" on the OWN Network.
She has an upcoming workshop in Atlanta for people interested in PA work.
