Fairburn police search for armed man accused in beatings
FAIRBURN, Ga. - An armed and dangerous suspect is on the run after brutally beating two people, according to Fairburn Police.
Investigators said Jonathan Lafon attacked a man and a woman around 8 p.m. Tuesday during a domestic dispute at a home the three involved share on Carll Court.
When officers arrived, the victims said Lafon was inside the house armed with multiple firearms, including a possible AK-47. Police called in a SWAT team. Authorities searched the home and cleared the scene. Lafon was not there. However they did find illegal drugs inside the residence.
The victims are being treated at a hospital for cuts to their faces, necks and heads.
Lafon faces two charges of aggravated assault as a result of the incident.
