Concerns over what will happen to Turner Field
Residents who live in the Mechanicsville neighborhood and other near downtown neighborhoods wants a say-so in what is going to happen to the Turner Field property.
It was an impressive showing Tuesday of more than 50 neighbors bordering Turner Field who are worried that once the Braves go north the mayor will turn over the property for more stadiums. Only this time it will be at the college level with a proposal made by Georgia State
The group didn't have an appointment at City Hall but organizers knew that in advance. They handed over a letter to a Reed aid requesting they be given a seat at the table before any GSU deal is completed.
