The Food and Drug Administration said a voluntary recall was issued for Breyers "Chocolate Truffle Tub" over mislabeling and undeclared allergens.

What they're saying:

"Undeclared allergens and mislabeled product," the agency said on its website. "Rocky Road Ice was packaged with Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream labeled tub and a Rocky Road Ice Cream lid. Tub said "may contain tree nuts" the lid said it did contain almonds."

Dig deeper:

Unilever Manufacturing issued the recall earlier this month for various distribution centers and retail locations across the U.S.

The FDA said the recall affects 6668 cases.

The agency also classified it as a Class II recall, which means "a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote."

What you can do:

In a statement to FOX Television Stations, Breyers said "People with an almond allergy should not consume the product due to risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. The safety and quality of our products is our top priority. For more information, consumers can visit www.breyers.com or call 1-800-931-2826."
