Authorities seek help in violent kidnapping case

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - It's an image that might be part of a TV drama. But for a witness, a resident, those images were real. The witness told police he saw two kidnappers literally carrying a female to a car.

The FBI, which has taken over the Atlanta case, say the men also surrounded the man who with the woman. They grabbed him and put him into a different vehicle. The kidnappers then sped away from the upscale complex.

Authorities said they released the lady within hours, but the man was kept overnight. He was beaten and robbed.

Both victims have granted interviews on what happened Jan. 9. Each said they didn't recognize any of the abductors.

Anyone who can supply information in the case to authorities could be in line for a reward.
