Authorities release name of man shot during Hall Co. SWAT standoff

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities have released the name of a man shot and killed during a SWAT standoff in Hall County. 

The crime happened Saturday night around 11 p.m. 

Deputies said 41-year-old Christopher Manus began shooting at them from a house on Truelove Road in east Hall County. The deputies and members of the SWAT team returned fire, killing Manus. 

Investigators said they were initially called to the house earlier in the day after reports of Manus pointing his gun at several neighbors.

No law enforcement officers or bystanders were hurt.
