2 bystanders shot during dispute near Midtown Atlanta lounge

ATLANTA - Police are investigating after two people were shot Monday night near a restaurant and lounge in Midtown Atlanta.

What we know:

Officers responded around 10:24 p.m. to a reported shooting at 657 Antone Street SW, where they found an adult man and woman with gunshot wounds.

Authorities said the man was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, while the woman was transported by ambulance for treatment.

Preliminary information indicates a dispute outside the location escalated into gunfire. Investigators believe the victims were not involved in the altercation and were struck as bystanders.
