COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - A self-proclaimed general of the Aryan Nation Army was arrested for trafficking meth.
Coweta County Sheriff Mike Yeager said his deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle. Yeager said the Brian David Murphy was driving the car as if he didn’t want his car to be seen. Deputies eventually pulled the driver over for speeding.
FOX 5 News obtained video recorded by deputies during the traffic stop. In it, Deputy Jeff Bugg can be seen taking Murphy to the back of the car to write him a speeding ticket. But things get worse as he then turns his attention to passenger Clint Alan Owens. Yeager said the video clearly shows the deputy’s discovering the illegal substance on Owens’ clothing.
Both Murphy and Owens were brought the Coweta County Jail where Yeager said a search of both turned up methamphetamine.
Yeager said they were also alerted to Murphy’s alleged affiliation as a leader in the Alabama Aryan Nation, an alleged hate group.
