DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police are investigating a shooting in DeKalb County where officials said four people were shot and killed.
Officials said they received a call just after 9 p.m. Tuesday night from the 4900 block of Isle Royal Court. When they got there, they discovered two women and one man shot dead in a home's driveway.
Wednesday, Police identified the victims as 33-year-old Whitney Nolbert, 28-year-old Lanisha Mitchell, and 40-year-old Daniel Price.
After the shooting, the suspect drove home. A witness to the shooting knew where the suspect lived and told the police.
When police went to the home located within two miles, they found the suspect, identified as 62-year-old Howard Jackson, dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators believe that an argument led to the shooting.
Phlendetha Grier lives next door to the shooting location. She told FOX 5 she was cooking barbecue in her backyard when the gunfire rang out.
Grier said she heard as many as 15 rounds fired. When she looked over her fence, she saw both of the female victims already dead.
Police said that this is not a random incident and that there is no threat to the community.
Grier said she just moved to the neighborhood and did not know the people who lived in the house well but said she often saw one of the female victims outside playing with her children.
