Police: Man found dead in Snellville field

SNELLVILLE, Ga. - Gwinnett County police are investigating a homicide in Snellville.

Police say a worker who patrols the pasture alongside Lenora Road discovered a man lying face-up in the grass around 8:42 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the body was located on a grassy area that leads up to a private driveway, near where the road comes to a dead end. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and determined that the man was deceased.

Investigators are trying to determine if the man was killed at this location or if his body was dumped there after the homicide, police said.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.
