New Falcons uniforms blend throwback style with future vision
ATLANTA - The Atlanta Falcons have unveiled new primary uniforms that the team will begin wearing in the 2026 season, marking a return to red as the centerpiece of the franchise’s identity.
What we know:
Team officials say the redesigned uniforms are meant to honor the Falcons’ history while signaling a new era for the organization. The primary home uniform features a black helmet, red jersey, white pants and red socks, while the away set includes a white jersey with red accents and multiple pant options. The team will also continue to wear its 1966-inspired throwback uniforms.
"Atlanta has always been a city that moves with purpose, and our team is being built the same way," Falcons President and CEO Greg Beadles said. "These uniforms are intentionally timeless. They honor the past, reflect who we are today, and signal a new era powered by a young, exciting team ready to compete."
The uniforms were designed with input from players and team leadership, emphasizing a classic look with modern performance features. Built using Nike’s Vapor F.U.S.E. chassis, the jerseys include lightweight, recyclable materials and ventilation zones to improve comfort on the field.
What they're saying:
Falcons legend Matt Ryan highlighted the significance of the team’s return to red.
"When you put on red, you feel the history, the pride, and the energy that comes with being a Falcon," Ryan said. "Bringing it back honors what’s been built here and fueling what’s coming next."
Players also embraced the new look, with running back Bijan Robinson calling it "a statement to the city," while wide receiver Drake London added, "Red is our color."
The new jerseys go on sale April 2, and the team plans to celebrate the launch with a 404 Day Fan Fest on April 4 at Old Fourth Ward Park, featuring player appearances, merchandise and fan activities.
