A fire forced a northwest Atlanta man to flee his home early Friday morning. The blaze broke out just before 12:30 a.m.
Fire crews found him in the front yard on Elm Street with burns to his hands and face.
Scorch marks on the front of the home show where flames were shooting out of the first floor windows and door.
Emergency crews rushed the man to Grady Memorial Hospital's burn unit.
