Man drowns at Big Creek Park on Lake Lanier
HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Hall County Fire Services say a rescue operation is now a recovery effort at Big Creek Park on Lake Lanier after a drowning at Big Creek Park on Lake Lanier.
Authorities tell FOX 5 witnesses say a friend attempted to swim across the cove in the area. The 21 year old male was described as being in distress after swimming about 25 yards from the bank.
Hall County Fire Department dive members conducted a preliminary search with no success.
Dive members recovered the victim in approximately 17 feet of water. Foul play is not suspected in this incident.
