Man donates kidney to save fiancee's life

Christian Willenborg gave more than just his love when he proposed to Errin Tollefson. The assistant professor at the University of Saskatchewan, which is in Canada, agreed to donate a kidney to save the life of his fiancee, whose only kidney was failing.

Willenborg shared his story on Facebook and Twitter.

"While surgery is never a fun experience, this is all for a good cause," Willenborg said.

Willenborg calls his fiancee his "perfect match in love and in life."

"While we met only a few years ago, we share an amazing bond. What joy you brought into my life. You gave me life, and now it's my turn to give it back."

Facebook user Faye Bouchard submitted the couple's story to Delta Bessborough for a Valentine's Day contest.
