Georgia prisoner sentenced for running drug operation behind bars
MORGAN, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Georgia inmate is sentenced to an additional 25-years in prison for running a drug trafficking operation from behind bars.
Prosecutors say 27-year-old Edwin Murillo from Gwinnett County was communicating with people on the outside to distribute meth.
Prosecutors say he was running his illegal business from Calhoun State Prison in Morgan.
His dealers would then transfer the drug money to Murillo via MoneyGram.
