Due to an ongoing winter storm in metro Atlanta and North Georgia, the popular food delivery app, DoorDash, is pulling its drivers from the road.

DoorDash activated its "Severe Weather Protocol" Friday night, which temporarily suspended operations in Atlanta and surrounding areas.

That means, if you were planning to pay one of their delivery drivers to pick up food for you during the snow storm, you'll have to make other plans.

"With heavy snowfall and low visibility, the snow storm is a serious threat to our community, and we’ve taken decisive action by activating our Severe Weather Protocol," said DoorDash spokesperson Julian Crowley. "We deeply appreciate the patience and understanding of Dashers, merchants and consumers, and will resume operations as soon as it’s safe to do so."

DoorDash said the suspension IS meant to protect their drivers from unsafe driving conditions.

Some UberEats customers may have noticed delivery services were also suspended on that app Friday night.

"Delivery is currently unavailable in your area due to weather conditions," an error message read for Atlanta users on the app's dashboard. "UberEats is offline in your area until weather conditions improve.

The company did not issue a public statement on the matter.

Meanwhile, the GrubHub app did not appear to have any ordering limitations in Atlanta due to the weather. In fact, some restaurants were still allowing customers. Other businesses, however, issued error messages stating, "delivery is paused due to high demand."
