DECATUR, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The NAACP DeKalb County branch held its 17th annual parade for the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
The procession began at Green Pastures Christian Church on Flat Shoals Parkway and ended at Martin Luther King Jr. High School.
The theme was “Remembering the Dream, Honoring the Dreamer."
Organizers highlighted the county's sanitation workers since Rev. king advocated for them right before his death.
The event also featured several area school bands.
