Marietta Police say a traffic stop along Interstate 75 resulted in the seizure of "bricks" of narcotics.

A Marietta Police spokesman says the traffic stopped happened on Oct. 2. Police say an officer noticed the driver acting suspiciously and attempted to run the car's registration plate. Shortly after, the officer stopped the vehicle along I-75 northbound.

Officers reported an "odor of marijuana" in the vehicle and conducted a search. Reports indicate they uncovered 'bricks' or narcotics, including heroin and methamphetamine.

In all, three suspects were arrested. Two of the suspects had a Tennessee identification. Police say they believe the trio was possibly attempting to traffic the drugs back to a town near Knoxville.
