A 7-year-old boy who called 911 without having an emergency is trying to make right his mistake.
The Brookhaven Police Department posted a picture of how their new buddy Sammy asked for forgiveness from the first responders for his misuses of the emergency line.
In a note sent to the department, he wrote:
"Dear police officers, I am so sorry I called 911. I will not call again only if it’s an emergency. Thank you for your help. Love, Sammy"
The letter was accompanied by some pretty delicious looking chocolate chip cookies.
A spokesperson for the department told FOX 5 News that the young boy said he learned his lesson.
