Bomb threat puts Gainesville high school on lockdown

A high school in Hall County was put on "code yellow" lockdown Wednesday after a bomb threat.

According to Gainesville police, a threat toward Gainesville High School was found written on one of the school's walls.

Police and deputies from the Hall County Sheriff's Office are investigating the threat and have been checking throughout the school. Officials told FOX 5 that they are still "early" in the investigation.

In a statement, Gainesville High School Principal Jamie Green said that the school is "treating the threat seriously.
