As of now it looks like all of north Georgia will see some rain and a few t-showers Monday. Our western counties have a greater potential to see a few stronger storms.

There’s a "marginal" risk for strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening for Alabama that extends into west central Georgia. While it is not clear that instability and wind shear will match up to produce severe storms, the risk is not zero.  If severe weather can materialize, the main threats will be heavy rain and the chance for damaging winds, but even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.  Stay alert for any warnings late today and tonight.

The first half of the day will be dry, but make sure to grab your umbrella before you head out Monday morning.  You'll need it late today.

The bulk of the rain will come to an end after midnight, and seasonably cooler conditions will return to the area Tuesday. Look for temperatures on Tuesday to be in the 50s along with blustery northwest winds.

The rest of the work week will be dry with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s.

There will be another storm system next weekend that will bring another round of rain and storms.
