A warm and muggy start to Friday with scattered showers and storms any time during the day. Temps should hold in the mid-80s. Typical summer weekend, but rain risk increases late Sunday into Monday with some deep tropical moisture moving in. Cristobal will regain tropical storm status late Friday into Saturday morning, still heading toward LA, but the rain bands will be well east of the center.

While it will feel more like summertime in the days ahead, the big story will be Tropical Storm Cristobal. A major rain maker for parts of Mexico for days, and then its movement into the Gulf of Mexico by the weekend. Our rain and storm chances will be widely spaced beginning on Thursday and into the weekend. Temps will be warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lows well into the 60s.
