It's week two of the high school football playoffs, and this week's Game of the Week is a match up between Walton and East Coweta. Both teams had big upsets the previous week. FOX 5 Sports Kelly Price has more.

The Centennial Knights is the final High 5 Sports Team of the Week for the 2025 season. Paul Milliken went to Centennial High School to celebrate with the team.

Newton and Peachtree Ridge battled in a tense playoff showdown where defense set the tone early, momentum flipped on a goal-line fumble, and Newton’s power back Darius “Hercules” White lived up to his nickname with multiple explosive touchdowns. The Rams pulled away late to secure a 33-14 win, a golden ticket to Round 2, and the High 5 Sports Game of the Week trophy.

Northgate High School’s student-run “Game Day” show delivered a full college-style pregame experience, complete with bold predictions, deep analysis, and on-camera energy that rivaled national broadcasts. The crew broke down Northgate’s playoff matchup with Villa Rica, offered spirited headgear picks, and showed how a student production can steal the spotlight on a Friday night.

The High 5 Sports Game of the Week takes us to Newton County where it is a showdown between the Peachtree Ridge Lions and the Newton Rams. FOX 5's Kelly Price has more.

Athens Academy celebrated with Paul Milliken Thursday morning live on Good Day Atlanta, bringing out the middle school to party with the Spartans. Our Team of the Week earned the spotlight after a thrilling win over Rabun County last Friday night, securing their second straight region title. Athens Academy is expected to land a strong seed in the private school bracket once the final power rankings are released.

Our High 5 Sports Game of the Shriek — and the clock is about to strike midnight on someone’s perfect season. Both Sandy Creek and Troup come in at 9-0, with a region title and an undefeated record on the line. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the regular season. A haunted home playoff game is on the line in our Call of the Week. Both Blessed Trinity and Cambridge have already punched their tickets to the postseason, but the stakes are still high.
