The University of Georgia confirmed Monday that junior running back Sony Michel suffered a fractured left forearm during an accident on Sunday.

The team says that Michel underwent surgery on July 4th at Athens Regional Medical Center to repair the arm. A full recovery is expected.

Michel led the Bulldogs in rushing last season with 1161 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Bulldogs backfield situation is already uncertain as fellow junior Nick Chubb continues to recover from a torn ACL suffered in October of 2015.
