School names athletic complex after longtime employee

Students at Providence Christian Academy are used to seeing the same face every morning. The hats, however, change. 82-year-old Lamar Lussi is a fixture at the Lilburn school, wearing fun hats before school as he directs traffic. He's also an ambassador of sorts: working for the school since it was founded, he goes around the community doing everything from saying thanks to police officers to praying with families.

The school raised over $4 million for a new athletic complex, and headmaster Dr. Jim Vaught said it was unanimous whose name should adorn the facility. The new fields and stadiums will be known as the Lamar Lussi Athletic Complex.

According to the school, the Lussi Complex is the first facility on campus to be named after a person.
