Winter Weather Advisory; Snow possible in North Georgia Wednesday
ATLANTA - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of North Georgia beginning at 4 a.m. Wednesday, where some areas could see up to 2 inches of snow.

That Winter Weather Advisory will remain in effect until 1 a.m. Thursday for Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Chattooga, Gordon, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Lumpkin and White counties.
FOX 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Jeff Hill said, "Residents in that area may see up to 2 inches of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice. Road conditions could become extremely hazardous by early evening".
Closer to metro Atlanta, Hill predicts residents will only see a cold rain Wednesday.
The Weather Service also issued a Wind Chill Advisory for portions of North Georgia Tuesday morning until 10 a.m., emphasizing the dangerous cold weather.
Temperatures dropped into the upper teens Tuesday morning in some parts of metro Atlanta. Residents in the North Georgia Mountains saw single digit temperatures and wind chills below zero on their FOX 5 Storm Team app overnight.
The FOX 5 Storm Team will continue to monitor revise the forecast as we get closer to the event.
