Who should control Atlanta's airport?

A debate is underway at the State Capitol over who should have the power to manage Atlanta’s airport.

As things stand now, the Atlanta mayor and city council are in charge of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

But lawmakers are discussing a bill that would change that.

One key issue in the debate are allegations of ethical misdeeds or even criminal activity in airport contracts.

Officials are looking at two proposals.

One would create a state authority.

The second would be a committee which would be comprised of city and state officials.
