Tooth sensor tracks what you put inside your mouth

You may soon be able to monitor everything you eat digitally. Scientists at Tufts university have developed a tooth-mounted sensor that tracks everything you consume. The device, which is similar to fitness trackers, monitors glucose, salt, and alcohol intake, and then transmits the data wirelessly to a mobile device. A study set to be published in the journal Advanced Materials explores how the sensors could work in the future.

Researchers say future devices may able to detect a wider range of nutrients, chemicals and physiological states.
