Texas Roadhouse donates proceeds to memorial fund for fallen deputy
GAINESVILLE, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Gainesville community came together Thursday night to honor a loved one.
Texas Roadhouse held a fundraiser for fallen Hall County Deputy Nicolas Blane Dixon. The 28-year-old was shot and killed earlier this month while chasing burglary suspects.
The restaurant donated all proceeds to the memorial fund set up in deputy Dixon’s name.

Employees said they also have a special connection to the Dixon family.
For those who missed the event, donations can still be made at the Peach State Bank & Trust located at 325 Washington Street in Gainesville. Monetary donations can also be mailed to the Peach State Bank & Trust, PO Box 290, Gainesville, Georgia 30503-9835. All checks should be made payable to “Deputy Nicolas Blane Dixon Memorial Fund.”
Hall County also agreed Thursday night to extend the insurance premiums for Dixon’s dependents for the next 36 days.
