Captain Mike Hunsinger, Commander of Criminal Investigation Divisions for the Athens-Clarke County Police Department said the suspects thought Collins was dead.
"They intended for him not to be able to identify them," said Captain Hunsinger. "This is such a heinous case, it's just pure evil. Certainly the initial motive was to rob him but as anybody knows pizza drivers don't carry that much money on the. Intent was to obviously murder him."
Monday, police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Christopher Burnett. They are still searching for 32-year-old Termedric Faust, who is considered extremely dangerous.
