Stricter version of medical marijuana bill in Ga. senate

Senator Lindsey Tippins of Cobb County proposed to set up a 4 year study, open only to children under 18-years-old who have seizures.

It's a proposal that eliminates the other major medical conditions mentioned in the original House bill 1, like cancer, Crohn's disease and multiple sclerosis.  The House version called for limited quantities of cannabis oil to be used by prescription, without any age limit.

Advocates are disappointed with this version, saying it "guts" the bill.

Its sponsor, representative Allen Peake of Macon, says "it leaves a lot of people behind."
