After over 12 hours, a standoff in DeKalb County is over and and nobody has been injured.

A SWAT team had surrounded the DeKalb County home where police said a man barricaded himself inside with three children Friday evening.

DeKalb County Police said officers went to the home on Wood Hollow Way near Stone Mountain around 5 p.m. Friday after a report of a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, police say they learned a man was inside with multiple guns and possibly three children.

After the standoff lasted throughout the night, at one point police were able to determine that the suspect was not inside the house, and only the three children – aged 17, 12, and 3 years old – were left behind.

Police say the children appeared unharmed. The search is on for the suspect, who the police say is the childrens' father..
