Shooting reported near East Point MARTA Station

EAST POINT, Ga. - A shooting took place on Thursday afternoon near the East Point MARTA Station.
According to a MARTA spokesperson, a MARTA Police officer recognized a person wanted for an aggravated assault on Sept. 26.
The officer began chasing the suspect and the suspect reportedly shot themselves.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:25 p.m.
