Police: wrong-way driver causes three car pile-up in I-75 Express Lanes

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - A major accident shut down a portion of Interstate 75 Friday morning in Henry County.

Henry County Police are investigating to see if the driver was intoxicated when they entered the Express Lane traveling in the wrong direction, crashing through several barriers in the process.

According to police, the wrong-way driver then slammed head-on into another car before a third car struck them.

Paramedics took all three drivers to an area hospital.

Their names and conditions have not yet been released.

No word on any charges.
