Body camera video of a Conyers police officer comforting five children who were in a car without seatbelts after the driver led them on a chase.

It all started when an officer pulled a man over for not having valid insurance.

Officers found five young children ranging in age from seven months to six years old -- none of them were in car seats.

The man told officers he was taking the children to their mother.

When officers questioned him about the smell of marijuana in the car -- he took off.

Police say he led them on a short chase down Interstate 20 before officers boxed him in.

One officer had some stern words for the driver after they stopped him.

Fortunately, none of the children got hurt.

Officers stayed with them until their mother arrived.

They took the man to the jail on a list of charges.
