A wheelchair-bound woman was killed in a house fire in DeKalb County early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters received a call shortly after 3 a.m. about a blaze on Hidden Hills Parkway. DeKalb County firefighters arrived to find the left side of the home engulfed in flames.

Responding firefighters said a man was on the front step of the house, injured. Crews then went inside to battle the blaze, but the flames were too fierce.

Once it was safe for firefighters to go inside, they found 74-yr-old Onoloda "AB" Williams dead inside. Firefighters said the victim required a wheelchair to get around.

A third person, another man, made it out safely.

An elder at Williams' church stopped by to take it all in. Mr. Leroy Brown told FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor Williams' was strong in her faith.

"She was a godly woman; she was a peaceful woman. She was very active at New Life. People in our outreach ministries, as well as the traditional Sunday services, knew sister "AB".  She did not let her handicap keep her restricted," Mr. Brown commented.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
