Man savagely beaten and robbed in Brooklyn

Police in New York City say a man was beaten in the streets of Brooklyn and then three women tried to rob him.

The NYPD says it happened about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26 in front of 779 New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn.

The 45-year-old victim was approached by an unidentified man who punched him in his face and knocked him to the ground. The attacker continued to punch and stomp on the victim as three women came up and attempted to rob him.

The women and attacker then took off on foot.

The victim was transported by EMS in critical condition to Brookdale Hospital, where he was treated for severe head trauma. 

Police released surveillance video of the attack in hopes someone will help catch them.
