GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - The commute through north Gwinnett County should be getting a little bit easier.
That’s thanks to the new Interstate 85 Express Lanes extension opening to traffic Saturday.
The new lanes extend the I-85 Express Lanes about 10 miles and connect the existing I-85 Express Lanes that begin at Chamblee-Tucker Road in DeKalb County.
As with all the Express lanes, a Peach Pass is required.
Drivers who try to use the lanes without one will likely wind up with a ticket.
