Gwinnett County celebrates bicentennial with mass wedding

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - It was a special day Thursday for several couples in Gwinnett County.

At exactly 1:18 on January 18, 2018, a mass wedding and vow renewal ceremony took place at the Gwinnett County Historic Courthouse.

Couples gathered in the ballroom Thursday afternoon to exchange this vows, rings, and love.

This ceremony was part of a larger celebration for the county though.

This year marks the county's bicentennial year and so this is one of many of the year's events to celebrate that milestone.

Couples could bring a half-dozen guests with them and were invited to a reception in the ballroom complete with a DJ, first toast, first dance, and wedding cake.
