Gov. Deal: Gas supply should return to normal Monday
ATLANTA - Governor Nathan Deal has extended his executive order to help ease the gas shortage caused by a break in the Colonial Pipeline.
Deal stated he believes normal gasoline inventories in Georgia will return to normal by Monday.
“We’ve extended the executive order for another three days to ensure that the supply of gasoline is as abundant as possible,” said Deal. “The new executive order expires at midnight Sept. 26, by which point normal supplies should have been restored.”

Colonial Pipeline announced Wednesday they have completed construction and testing of a bypass line at the site of an Alabama spill. Earlier this month, a mine inspector detected a fuel smell near the pipeline and Colonial Pipeline was forced to shut down operations.
Governor Deal issued an executive order Monday morning reiterating the state's anti-price gouging law after reports of some stations raising their prices dramatically.
