WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A popular restaurant and bar frequented by many in the Southeast while on vacation along Florida's Gulf Coast has burned to the ground.
A massive fire broke out on Grayton Beach early Wednesday morning at the well-known Red Bar located at 70 Hotz Avenue.
The Red Bar is known as South Walton's most popular indoor restaurant and considered a favorite among locals as well as visitors to Walton County.
According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office, firefighters battled the blaze for hours Wednesday morning as they worked to contain the large structure fire.
The restaurant appears to be at a total loss.
