Deputies release dash cam video of Barrow County chase
AUBURN, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Authorities have released the dash cam video of a chase which led to an officer-involved shooting in Barrow County Tuesday afternoon.

Around 12:10 p.m., the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said they tried to stop a black Ford F-150 for failure to maintain lane, but the driver took off. The pursuit went into Gwinnett County and the crossed back into Barrow County.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith said one of his deputies was able to stop the truck with a PIT Maneuver. The sheriff said the driver, later identified as 31-year-old Casey Taylor, of Athens, fired multiple times through the windshield of the pickup, striking a deputy’s patrol car.
Deputies returned fire striking Taylor and a passenger multiple times, the sheriff said. Both were rushed to an area hospital. A second passenger was also taken to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue.
Taylor was booked into the Barrow County Detention Center but was not charged as of Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators have not released the names of the passengers.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was asked to review the use of force by deputies in the case.
